Tuesday, Week 10:

My limping and pain in my knee was less today than yesterday.  Thank goodness!

I went to the doctor today.  The good news is my doctor thinks I just aggravated my knee.  I need to rest my knee for a few days and take anti inflammatory medication and I should be good as new soon. When I am able, hopefully by this weekend, I will have to start with walking.  I will have to pay attention to my knee and wear my knee brace while exercising and work up gradually.

My goal is loosing 80 pounds.  I have lost 19 pounds so far.  My face is slimmer.  My hands are looking slimmer.  My watch is fitting looser on my arm.  I am wearing a few shirts I have not worn in a year or more.  All this with just 19 pounds gone.  I can not wait for more.  I am not going back!!

I have given up drinking sodas.  I drink water.  I drink water with lemon and Splenda.  I enjoy hot tea, Celestial Seasons, all flavors, zero calories with Splenda.  I am here to tell you, drinking water makes your food taste fantastic!!  This is the second time in my life that I have given up sodas.  Yea!  Sodas taste good, very good in fact.  Dr. Pepper was my favorite.  However, sodas are FULL of sugar, full of wasted calories.  Believe me or not, your food tastes amazing when it is not being camouflaged with soda.  I am not going back!  Upward on onward!

  1. Super! You are doing great...keep it up! I'm not going back either!I agree with you on the sodas...After you drink tea and water for a while, they are too sweet. I've given up the Pink sweetener, blue sweetener, and yellow sweetener...I only use the green one (Stevia). No more side effects from using them. It took a while for me to get used to the subtle taste difference, but now...I good with it.
