Friday, Week 8:

I feel so much better. The new antibiotic and other prescribed drugs are working!!   I was able to return to work today and that was a true blessing.

My husband, Steve, and I work at the same company.  Steve is a Geotechnical (Soils) Lab Manger.  I am the Administrative Assistant for the Geotechnical group.  Yes!  I work directly for my husband.  Now for some couples this would be the absolute worst thing imaginable.  But for us, we love it.  Yes guys!  Steve loves it.  We ride to and from work together.  We go to lunch together.  We can talk to each other any time we want to cause the other is just in the next office. It works!!

Tonight when we left work, Steve and I needed to go to the grocery store before going home.  Now after a long day at work no one really wants to go to the grocery store.  But off we go through the store and I realize I am having a great time because Steve is there beside me leading the task of gathering our needed groceries.  So I say to him..."I'm so glad I get to spend so much time with you."  And he responds without any thought... "What is the matter with other people?"  Or course he was referring to those people that think this amount of time together is the absolute worst thing imaginable.

I am truly loved and it feels great!








Arianna is the newest addition to the family. just 5 weeks old. 
She is my sweet and adorable granddaughter.

When Arianna was born she weighed 9 lbs 3 oz.   Today I thought...  Oh My Gosh!  I have lost 2 of Arianna (17 lbs. lost). 

Wow!  I am motivated.  There is no turning back.  80lbs is going bye-bye!!

  1. That is almost four, 5 lbs. bags of sugar! It is always so surprising...shocking when we put it into perspective. GOOD GOING!
