Sunday, Week 8:

GOD wants our best, deserves our best and demands our best!  Praise God!



Week 1 through Week 7, I started on this "Get Healthy" journey.  I began taking the prescribed vitamins and thyroid medications advised by my Endocrinologist.  I started using the LIVESTRONG.COM website to track my food intake.  I did not feel well enough to start an exercise program.  But now, starting Week 8 I am feeling better.  I have lost 17 lbs. and I am ready to take it to the next level.

Today:  I am trying to do better and be better each and every day.  Today was a fabulous and restful day.  After worship, the family ate at Gringo's.   Eating out is no problem now.  After a few weeks using LIVESTRONG.COM I have come to know how many calories are in the foods I am choosing to eat and I am able to make better choices.  Today I ate 2 ribs, 2 shrimp, and 1 wrapped fajita.  I make a light lemonade to drink; water with Splenda and lemon to taste.

What better way to spend the rest of the Lord's day than to have the family come to the house and spend the day playing and napping with the grand baby.  Arianna is 4 weeks old!!

Inspirational Thought:

I always knew that when you exercise... you burn calories.  But I never thought about those calories as erasing that amount of calories from what you have eaten that day.  In other words, adding those calories back to your calories to eat for the day.  Woo Hoo!!  I have found a great reason to exercise.  Wish me luck!
