Monday, Week 17:

Exercise:
Yes!  I woke up late but I did 15 minutes of "bells".

Daily comments:
Today was a very good Monday.  It was the first day back at work after a fantastic 4 days weekend.  There is lots of work to get done this week cause.... it's one week till Disney!!  Woo Hoo!

The house is decorated for Christmas!  It looks so good.  The only thing missing is  the lights on the outside of the house and of course shopping for the presents.  We will get the lights done sometime this week.  I decorated my office today for Christmas and listened to Pandora on my computer while I was working.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Ephesians 2:8-9

New International Version (NIV)
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Sunday, Week 17:

Exercise:
No!  I will be back at it tomorrow!!

Daily comments:
Steve cooked a smoked turkey, dressing and gravy today.  I made mixed veggies and Lima beans.  Melissa, Anthony, Arianna, Chris and Melanie came over and ate and helped decorate for Christmas.  Melissa and Melanie, while bringing down the Christmas boxes, got caught up looking through boxes of their own that was stored in the attic a long time ago.  There was some OLD memories and some trash.  It was a great time... Thank You!!!

Matthew 22:37-39
New Living Translation (NLT)
37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Saturday, Week 16:

Exercise and Daily comments:
Today is weigh in day!!  Today is the day after the day after Thanksgiving.  Today is the day after the day after turkey, dressing, gravy, ham, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, pecan pie, and Marty's cheesecake.  I weighed in today.. 2 pounds gone!!  Woo Hoo!!  My weight is 174!!!  Oh my gosh!!  I am below 175!!  I am so happy!!!!  I have one more week to lose a few pounds before heading to Walt Disney, Florida.  Yea!!  My plan is to blog every night while I am in Disney and include pictures of our day.  So tune in next week!!  I want to share our "Magical Days"!!

I am sitting in the living room right now watching sappy Christmas movies and blogging!!  I am loving it!!  I hope to get the house all decorated for Christmas before the weekend is over.  But right now, I am being lazy and smiling at the weight loss and enjoying Christmas on T.V.  So!!  I have not "bell"ed today and I don't think I will.

I do plan to get out and go grocery shopping for this weeks essentials and pick up prescriptions at the pharmacy.  But, it is raining heavily so I think I will wait.

Permanent weight loss means filling yourself with wonder, not Wonder bread! You must fill your life with all the things that bring joy. Food can never be a substitute for life.

Friday, Week 16:

Thanksgiving day was wonderful!

I started off my day with "bells".  Yes!  I exercised on a holiday.  I woke up early and I wanted to exercise to offset extra calories on this special day.  Then I prepared deviled eggs and sweet potatoes before getting in the shower. We traveled to Terry and JoAnn's house (Steve's brother and his wife) and had a great time with family and friends.  Here are a few pictures:

Today, Friday, we slept late!!  Woo Hoo!!  I slept till 8:45 a.m.  I did NO "bells".  I ate an apple and a banana in front of the TV and was lazy watching two Christmas movies on Lifetime.  I got all misty eyed.  It's the most Wonderful time of the year!!  I loved it.  Then after showering, I went and got a pedicure.  Oooohhh that feels so good!

Family Game Night started at 5:00 p.m.  We ate diner; Ham, asparagus, corn casserole, and purple hull peas.  We celebrated Melanie's husband Chris's 30th birthday and ate cupcakes.  We played with Arianna and we played Pictionary.  We had a great time together!!

Inspirational Thought:
 ************************
Change requires the belief that change is possible for you. You are far more powerful than you believe yourself to be. You would not have made it this far if you were not capable of change.

 ************************
You must be willing to be uncomfortable as you push past your previous limitations. To lose weight permanently requires faith, faith that there is a bigger life waiting for you beyond food and weight. Faith is an eternal remembrance of home. Home is where the heart is.
 ************************
You eat your attitude. Choose to focus on the beauty and goodness in the world. Acknowledge all that is well in your world.

Matthew 9:22 Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.

Matthew 15:28 Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed instantly.

Matthew 21:21-22 And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
